A Girl Can Dream

I'm feeling the urge to hang one of these by my front door. I'm gettin' the itch.

I can hardly wait to plant my little garden boxes. Everything is so neat & tidy at the beginning.

I'm looking forward to seeing my roses bloom. This is Morden Sunrise.

But. This is the view today out my kitchen window. Strong winds, snow, blowing, blustery wild winter weather.

The snow was pretty as it swirled around, I must admit.

Not as pretty as the perennial salvia that blooms in front of the peonies though.

Sigh...

Derrick should be in his natural environment, sitting on the patio with a nice fire. He belongs there. It makes him happy.

I should be organizing my flowers, making big decisions about what to plant in which pots. Playing with flowers makes me happy.

It's going to be awhile before I sit on these front steps. Brrr.

For now, I will enjoy my indoor shamrock plant that just started blooming again.

When the calendar turns to March and spring is a whisper away... it's hard to wait.

Flowers in Feb I figured you're just pipe dreaming, but now on the 9th of March, I got Spring Fever. BTW, Derrick does look like he belongs on that patio. ;-)

I like the first picture and the pic of the patio even if derrick is part of the pic :). As Michael, I have spring fever!! Besides longing to play with flowers, I want to spring clean. I love that feeling. Barb

It was 66 yesterday and in the sixties again today-I sat in my back yard with a book in the sunshine and imagined it all green. Our snow is nearly gone, I wonder if anyone has any pansies for sale????

I can't wait until you start gardening too! I remember your flowers from last year and they were so pretty. I also love your patio. It's so inviting!
